DESCRIPTION:The 20th Annual Scrooge Contest kicks off today! Look for food collection boxes and money collection cans all around Atlantic throughout November. All funds raised and food collected goes to the Atlantic Food Pantry. The winner will be announced Thursday December 1st by the media. The winner will serve as Grand Marshall in the Lighted Parade on December 3rd and all contestants will be featured at the beginning of the parade.\n\n\n\nThe 2022 Scrooge Contestants are:\n\n	Dave Frederiksen\, Hy-Vee\n	Jeff Gude\, First Whitney Bank\n	Joyce Weiser & Lori Blum\, Brown's Shoe Fit\n	Dr. Matt Weresh\, Cass Health\n\nCash donations are worth 5 points on the dollar and one non-perishable item earns the contestants one point.\n\n \n\nThe Atlantic Food Pantry is asking for a specific list of food items\, with a focus on monetary donations due to limited storage space. The money will help them purchase food items as needed\, including meat and refrigerated items.\n\nThe list of needed food items includes:\n\nCream of Chicken/Mushroom Soup\n\nTomato/Chicken Noodle Soup\n\nRamen Noodles\n\nHamburger Helper\n\nCanned Beef Ravioli/Spaghetti O's\n\nInstant Sides (Packages)   Pasta\, Sauce or Potato\n\nBoxed Cereal\n\nJiffy Corn Muffin Mix\n\nSaltine Crackers\n\nCanned Fruit\n\nBar Soap\n\nCanned Tuna/Chicken\n\nMacaroni & Cheese\n\nCanned Vegetables\n\nToilet Paper\n\n18 oz.
